Tom Cheesewright is an experienced broadcaster who has made more than two thousand appearances on TV and radio, including BBC, Channel 4, 5 and Sky News. He has consulted for some of the world’s best known brands (including the likes of Audi, Barclays, Facebook, Google and HSBC) and is a regular speaker at business and technology conferences. In Future-proof Your Business he explains how world-leading organisations are building sustainable success in an age of uncertainty.
Penguin and Tom decided to bring forward the launch of Future-proof Your Business because of its relevance to the current crisis. Now, more than ever, we need to rethink the way we build and operate our organisations.
What our priorities? Short-term profit or sustainable success?
How can we fully engage people across the business?
Can we build a more agile organisation to respond to shocks?
These are the questions that Future-proof Your Business addresses, with practical tools to build more future-ready organisations.
This book gives you a complete set of tools to plan better, make decisions faster, and structure your organisation for agility. It includes a set of three tools for 'Athletic Organisations' which have been developed over years of work with global leaders, seeing what succeeds and what doesn’t. In this challenging period, Tom suggests the best thing we can do is take to learn, and think how we might do things differently on the other side.
Tom will spend 20 minutes providing an overview of the themes covered in the book, which will be followed by an interactive panel discussion when we will reflect on the subject and consider broader perspectives based on the panellists' own experience and knowledge. the event will be chaired by Julian Wells with panellists including:
